EcoChange summer school
This activity provides for internal and external training.
The goal of external training is to disseminate data and knowledge to the wider scientific and science-oriented public. The external activities consist of three summer-schools that will be offered in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The first EcoChange summer school “Predictive habitat distribution models: tools for building projections of global change impact on biodiversity” will take place in Lausanne September 7-10, 2009. Number of participants is limited to 25 Applications (incl. CV and motivation) should be sent to antoine.guisan@unil.ch no later than 15 May 2009. Download information flyer: pdf
Furthermore web-based training will be made available.
Internal training is necessary as scientists from different disciplines work in this project (geneticists, landscape ecologists, vegetation modellers, paleo-ecologists, ecological economists, etc.) and guarantees better communication and an optimal use of data.
