AIMES Open Science Conference

AIMES (Analysis, Integration and Modeling of the Earth System) will hold its first Open Science Conference: "Earth System Science: Climate, Global Change and People" in May 2010 in Edinburgh.

The conference of the AIMES project will be structured around three broad themes:

  1. Earth system modelling: from observations and process understanding to prediction and risk assessment
  2. Dynamics of biogeochemical cycles and climate: transitions, instabilities and feedbacks
  3. People and resources—perspectives on the relations among environment, ecosystems and human needs
